What are Highlights? What look can be achieved?
Highlights are a versatile solution to achieving a lighter, multi-tonal hair appearance.
What are Highlights?
The definition of Highlights, is the process of applying a colour to the hair, which is lighter than the original base colour. This may not necessarily mean applying a blonde colour to the hair – as is sometimes assumed.
Our stylists will discuss your desired outcome during your consultation.
Are Highlights right for me?
There are many ways that highlights can change your hair appearance. With the right application by trained stylists, highlights can be used to create dramatic results, or they can be used to create subtle tones which complement your complexion and skin.
We also offer lowlights, which involves darkening strands of hair to add depth and dimension. Lowlights are also ideal for gently reducing the appearance of greying hair, using darker tones that blend seamlessly with your natural base colour.
How is it applied?
Our experienced stylists use foils to section off parts of the hair, leaving out a certain number of strands from the foils to keep it looking natural whilst distributing the colour evenly across the coloured sections. It is important that the process is carried out by trained professionals – and Simon Paul Hair pride ourselves on the wealth of knowledge and experience that our team has.
For a free consultation with a stylist, please arrange a visit to Simon Paul Hair, and our team will be able to advise on the most suitable options for your hair type. All new technical clients require an allergy test 48 hours prior to appointment.
