Hairdressing Apprenticeships
We are seeking bright, enthusiastic and energetic young people with a genuine passion for hairdressing. We have a bespoke training programme for current year school leavers, and previous year intake. Earn whilst you learn and gain your NVQ Level 2 / Level 3 qualifications without the need to attend college.
Apprentice
Earn £190 p/w while you learn at Simon Paul Hair with our training programme.

We are a professional hair Salon based in Knowle Solihull, and are the only independent salon locally to have been on the Register of Approved Training Providers. Here at Simon Paul Hair, we have our very own training academy, and are proud to be the only approved hair salon in Solihull to deliver hands-on experience working within the industry of hairdressing. There are a number of valuable skills you will be able to learn from apprenticeship with Simon Paul Hair, such as:
• Hair cutting, style and finishing
• Colouring techniques
• Dress hair
• Shampoo, condition and treat
• Consultations
• Reception and customer service
Why start Your Hairdressing Career with us? Many of our current team have carried out their training in our salon and we have helped over 75 young stylists enter the industry. Some of our graduates now even have their own businesses. We are keen to offer further learning opportunities to many other aspiring hairdressers, and will always support you.
How does it work?
Every Monday our apprentices attend our bespoke training programme in salon, almost on a one-to-one basis. For the remainder of the week you will work along the styling team. Training is carried out on real models. You will learn the craft of hairdressing at an industry standard rather than a college standard and at the end of your training you will receive a nationally recognised qualification. We believe that there are no other salons in the Solihull area that can offer training at this level in an employed role!

Shampooist
We are looking for efficient, thorough individuals with strong customer service skills. Your role within the salon will mostly involve shampooing clients on their visit to the salon and will also include the general upkeep and cleanliness of the salon backwash areas, folding of towels and serving refreshments to clients.
