After leaving school at 16, I started my career in hairdressing with a tough 3 year apprenticeship (at Raymonds Salon) a natural progression, as I came from a family where my mother and older sister were both hairdressers. I was there for 10 years as a Senior Stylist, assisting with training, until I left to have my son.
I worked part time until I again left to have my daughter.
I joined the Team at Simon Paul 17 years ago, so I am very much the matriarch of the salon. Over my years with Simon Paul I have covered all aspects of hairdressing – training and developing assistants to become confident young stylists.
There are few areas that I feel less confident in and still, even after all these years, take joy from seeing clients leave the salon happy and uplifted.
